A Wrexham AFC footballer has been involved in a car crash after his side’s cup
game against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Midfielder Elliot Lee was rushed to hospital after the incident, which took
place when he was driving home, his club said in a statement.

The crash involved another car and the second driver is also in hospital being
treated for their injuries.

“Emergency services were quickly on the scene and the Club would like to thank
them for their prompt response and action,” Wrexham said in a statement.

They added that Lee suffered no major injuries.

Despite their minnow status within the football league, Wrexham shot to fame
after being bought out by two Hollywood actors.
