Ed Sheeran has had the plug pulled on him while busking in India.

The star, who began his career busking in the UK, is currently in the country as
part of his +-=÷x tour.

Ahead of one of his shows in Bengaluru, the singer began performing on the
street with his guitar.

However, during a rendition of the 2017 hit song Shape of You, videos posted
online show a police officer approaching the 33-year-old as he holds the
microphone out to the crowd to sing along.

Ignoring the pleas of one man for him to stop, the officer cuts off the
electricity supply to the Suffolk-based star’s equipment, cutting the concert
short.

Sheeran acknowledged the incident on his social media.

“We had permission to busk btw, hence us playing in that exact spot was planned
out before, it wasn’t just us randomly turning up,” he said on Instagram.
